How to check to make sure you are on the most recent OS?

Go to Settings>System>About Phone>Updater> Check for Updates

How to switch between R9 (t9) and Abc, ABC, abc & 123?

  1. When you are in a text field 
  2. On the top, you will see the R9 logo if you click the # button it will cycle through your options.

How to send a photo?

Option A

  1. Open the FIG Messenger App
  2. Click the paperclip (one left side)
  3. Click photo gallery button to send a photo that you already took
  4. Click the camera button to take a picture and then send it

Option B

  1. Open the pictures app
  2. Tap on the image you want
  3. Click the share button on the top 
  4. Click the FIG Messenger
  5. Click the contact you want to send it to

How to turn on the battery percentage?

  1. On the Fig go to Settings>Battery>tap on the battery percentage

How to transfer contacts to Fig?

Option A Bluetooth (works for most android)

  1. On the Fig go to Settings>connected device>toggle Bluetooth on
  2. On your old phone go to the contacts app (the Samsung one (the orange one)
  3. Click on the 3 lines on the left
  4. Click manage contacts
  5. Click import or export contacts
  6. Tap export
  7. The from should be all contacts – The to should be either internal or external storage
  8. Tap export (take note of the file name exg. Contacts.vcf)
  9. Open the files app
  10. Click on internal storage (or SD card)
  11. Usually its in the download (if not search the files app for the file name)
  12. Hold down the file to select it 
  13. On the bottom click share 
  14. Click the Bluetooth button
  15. Click on your device name (default is F21 Pro)
  16. On the Fig, you click to accept the incoming Bluetooth file
  17. Once you receive the file click on it and click ok when it asks you if you want to open it in the contacts

Option B Bluetooth (works for most android)

  1. On the Fig go to Settings>connected device>toggle Bluetooth on
  2. On your old phone go to the contacts app (if you have more than 1000 contacts it needs to be the google contacts app (the blue one) not the Samsung one (the orange one) if you don’t have the google contacts app (the blue one) you would need to download it from the play store or use Option A)
  3. Click the 3 dots on the right
  4. Click select all 
  5. Click the share button (On the top) it will export all your contacts
  6. Click the Bluetooth button
  7. Click on your device name (default is F21 Pro)
  8. On the Fig, you click to accept the incoming Bluetooth file
  9. Once you receive the file click on it and click ok when it asks you if you want to open it in the contacts

Option C (drag and drop using a computer for iOS devices)

  1. Download app contact cleanup
  2. Do a backup
  3. Email it to a computer
  4. Download the file to the computer
  5. Plug in your Fig to the computer
  6. Drag and drop The file on to the download folder on the Fig
  7. On the Fig open applications> file manager>Internal storage> Open download
  8. Click on the file you saved on your phone 
  9. Click ok when it asks you if you want to open it in the contacts

How to switch from the onscreen keyboard to R9 (t9)?

  1. Go to Settings>System>Languages & input> Virtual keyboard> manage keyboards> toggle on NineKeylme
  2. When you are in a text field swipe down from the top
  3. Tap change Keyboard 
  4. Click English NineKeylme

How to send a voice message?

Option A

  1. Open the FIG Messenger App
  2. Hold down the red Microphone (on the right side) and start talking 
  3. After it records click the send button to send or the x button to delete

Option B

  1. Open the FIG Messenger App
  2. Click the paperclip (one left side)
  3. Click the microphone on the bottom 
  4. Hold down the Microphone and start talking 
  5. After it records click the send button to send or the x button to delete

How to use Talk-To-Text (dictation)?

This only works if you are using the onscreen keyboard (Gboard)

  1. Open the FIG Messenger App
  2. Tap on the gray microphone (under the red one) and start talking
  3. It will type what you say. You can edit what it types once you are ready click the send button

The dictation should stop on its own. You can click the gray microphone to manually stop it.

How to change the device language?

  1. On the FIG go to Settings > System > Languages & input > Languages
  2. Tap Add a Languages 
  3. Tap on your preferred languages 
  4. Navigate back to the language preference (Settings > System > Languages & input > Languages)
  5. You will see a list of languages 
  6. Drag your preferred to the top (That will change the device’s language)
